VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS

Be a part of the Fightaids Ghana Team of Volunteers! Fightaids Ghana welcomes and encourages motivated individuals to be a part of our Volunteering Team.

You can choose from a variety of volunteer opportunities . We will provide complete and accurate training based on the type of volunteer experience you choose. You will get connected with many dedicated people in various communities, who together work to have a profound impact on HIV in Ghana.

AREAS TO VOLUNTEER

1. Education & Training ( Volunteers will provide tutorial to local students, wokshops, assit local teachers and organise educational games and activities.

2. Counseling on HIV/AIDS and other STD's(Volunteers will provide counseling on ways to help in the prevention of the disease)

3. Hospital and Orphanage Care (Volunteers will work in a clinics or hospitals and provide support to orphanges as well)

4. Information Communication (ICT) trainng in Office Application to students.

5. Office Administration Activities. Volunteers will perform daily office routines in administration activities.

PERIOD OF VOLUNTEERING COST INVOLVED

First month USD $300.00

Additional weeks after first month USD $ 30.00 per week

What does the cost cover?

The first month fee is more as it incurs extra one-time costs, such as the airport transfers and the orientation transportation and tours on the first three days of arrival.

The total program fee includes:

1. Pre-Departure Handbook (Details on everything you need to know about your arrival in Ghana)

2. Airport transfers from Accra Airport (Pick Up and Drop Off)

3. Rent and Accommodation throughout your stay

4. Breakfast and Supper throughout your stay

5. Utility bills (extra Electricity, Water and Gas)

6. Orientation transportation and tours (first three days of arrival to familiarize yourself with the community you serve)

7. Continual assistance and contact from members of Fightaids Ghana.

8. 24/7 Emergency Support

Other costs not included in the program fee: Airline tickets, visas, vaccinations, travel insurance.
